GCSE Maths Books
At Skipton Tutors we look to help all of our learners with their study materials. The most popular subject we teach is GCSE maths and therefore we have developed a wide range of resources that we both use and recommend. There are a number of different types of resources to help students with their GCSE maths revision. The best place to start is a GCSE maths book as these tend to be more detailed and cover all aspects of the curriculum.
The MME GCSE maths revision guide is one that we are happy to recommend as it is relevant to all of the major exam boards including AQA, OCR, Edexcel and WJEC. From basic fractions to complex vectors, every topic and major question type is covered. Each topic starts with an introduction and explanation as to what it is. The topic is then worked through with examples and clear methods demonstrated with step by step instructions. This helps to break complex topics and question types down making maths a much easier subject to understand.
Once a student has started revising using a GCSE maths book or revision guide, they can then start to make things like flashcards or condensed notes to chop down their revision task. An important thing to note is that some learners remember better using visual resources whilst others prefer note taking or audio inputs. Once an extensive revision plan has been worked through, then additional support can be provided in the form of a tutor.
At Skipton Tutors we help students form their revision plans and execute them. We also help to plug any gaps in knowledge and boost confidence. Whether you or your child need help with devising a GCSE maths revision plan or they need help gaining confidence in with their maths, Skipton Tutors is here to help.
