The Easter Break

Many students ask our tutors what is the best way to make use of the Easter holidays in the run up to the GCSE and A Level exams. The following are the Skipton Tutors tips for success:

1. Time table: Being organised and having a plan can really help to provide a structure to your revision.

2. Time Spent: Although measuring the time spent revising is not the best indicator of how effective your revision is, it will tell you if you are putting the required amount of time in to give you the best chance of success. We recommend for students who are really eager to achieve that you spend around 5 hours a day revising through the Easter holidays.

3. Revision breaks: Make sure your revision isn't done in 3 hour slots as this will almost certainly be ineffective. Really effective revision will be tiring and therefore 45 minutes to an hour will be enough before you require a break.

4. Sleep: Try to keep to your regular sleeping patterns so that you are alert during the day and make the most of the revision time you have. Having good quality sleep is essential to help you retain as many facts as you can.

At Skipton Tutors we have many more useful tips and advice to help our pupils make the most of their revision time. If you are looking for a Maths, English or Science tutor at GCSE or A Level contact Skipton Tutors today.
